Our first heated garment

The first blazewear heated garment was created in February 2005 and was specifically designed with the outdoor worker in mind to provide heat for the worker during times of inactivity. We also launched the original blazewear heated gloves which were the first gloves in the UK to use carbon polyester based heating elements in the fingers to provide real comfort. When our clothes came to the market in the winter of 2005, the potential of our garments in other sectors was soon recognised leading to the developments of new products for sports and leisure use. Our garments have also proved to be very popular with disabled people and people who suffer from cold related conditions. 

Heating for sports people 

The brilliant eXuro heated sports gilet was launched for the winter sports market and has proved very popular in the equestrian and skiing market. It has also proved very popular with the ice skating community being seen on  national TV in the 2008 series of Dancing on Ice. Our heated jackets were added for customers who wanted an outer garment with sleeves and these garments also featured on national TV being used by the crew in the 2008 series of Celebrity Big Brother Hijack.

Truly portable 

We added in car chargers to our range in 2006 to make out products totally portable. This was as a result of the fishing and hunting community telling us that they wanted to be able to recharge batteries when mains power was not available. We also added the double capacity batteries for those customers who needed to have longer heating duration. 

2007 saw the introduction of the worlds first heated horse rug with portable controllable heat which was developed under the guidance of UK showjumper and British National Coach Di Lampard. This garment is proving to be a hit with showjumpers and event riders due to its light weight and ease of use.

The latest generation 

The latest generation of heated gilets now include heating to the front of the garments as well as the back with the addition of the new deluxe heated gilet and the new rider sports gilet. The rider has been developed following feedback from customers who suffer from lower back problems, so the heating element has been placed lower to provide soothing heat to the lower back area during activity.

We have now added heated socks by popular demand as an alternative to our heated insoles which have been improved with more powerful heating elements. Our latest range of heated gloves now have improved heating elements for even more heat to the fingers.

For customers that wanted to have mains charging for glove batteries, we have added new lightweight slim line, Lithium Polymer rechargeable batteries for ease of use and for far superior heating duration. These can also be used with the insoles and socks.

Due to the popularity of our clothes in the US, we are now joined by our US partner in Chicago www.BlazewearUSA.com where our clothes will be availiable for Winter 2008. Our clothes also available in Holland, Finland Italy and France.
